Day after day my moments with you
Are stolen and cherished and always so few
Words to the heart from so far away
That brighten and sadden in the very same way
Eyes that when closed can see your sweet face
And arms that will die for just an embrace
With lips that are anxiously waiting to feel
The thrill of the kisses that I want to steal
Thoughts on a canvas there to be seen
Loving and warm and yet still pristine
Never been touched except thru the soul
As physical sense still needs to unfold
Meanwhile we live in a world of our own
Hiding our love, fearing the unknown
Yet building a bridge that with time will become
A road that our hearts can venture upon.
